The DAP COM-BTX BT 5.0 Audio Receiver is a wireless, high-quality receiver that can be plugged into an XLR input directly, turning an active loudspeaker into a Bluetooth speaker or adding Bluetooth reception to a mixing desk. Thanks to its modern BT 5.0 standard, it is compatible with many current mobile devices and laptops and offers an excellent range of over 40 m (130 ft) (free line of sight). Through the support of the aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs, the receiver is capable of offering a high level of sound quality. It offers a mono audio signal output via its male XLR plug, but also has a stereo output via a 3.5 mm TRS jack socket. When a pair of COM-BTX receivers is used, this mono output is configured to pass the left or right audio signal (instead of a monaural, combined signal from both channels). This is especially handy when two (active) loudspeakers are set up as a stereo pair.
The unit has a rechargeable, internal Li-ion battery and can play without an external power supply for at least 8 hours at an average signal level. Powering/charging can be done with a standard 5 V USB charger via a micro-USB socket. A USB A to micro-USB charging cable is included (a 5 V power supply is not included).
