A DMX-node can handle a number of important things in a modern DMX network: the conversion of Art-Net/sACN to DMX, the routing of DMX channels to specific DMX universes and - as an option - integrating wireless DMX into a larger network.

For control, it is convenient to have local access, for example via an LCD or through associated software or remotely via a universal browser.
With a DMX node, you expand the possibilities of a comprehensive DMX set-up even further and push the known boundaries of a traditional DMX network into future applications.
