To keep viruses and bacteria in check, including Corona, UV-C light proves to be incredibly effective. In fact, it can kill both uninvited guests. The air in a room can therefore be cleaned by SRSmedilux TW220-X. This device, in fact, uses the uv-C fixture.

Functioning of the SRSmedilux TW220

With the emergence of Corona, SRSmedilux TW220-X is very much in demand and effective. Especially in hospitals, offices and public areas, the device can do its job well and provides good ventilation. The TW220-x is made so that when people are in a room, the air is cleaned. The UV-C radiation, called germicidal radiation, has a wavelength below 320 nm. On the micro-organisms in the room, the radiation does its work, disinfecting the air. The UV-C radiation causes the air to enter the device in a certain tunnel, and because both the inlet and outlet are well shielded, it prevents leakage. The air purifier has a micro-processor control unit that ensures proper operation, optimal air circulation and keeps track of the running time of the lamps.

Additional protection of the TW220

It is nice to know that it switches itself off automatically when the unit is opened. A safety pin ensures that it switches off immediately. However, it is important to mention here that the device cannot withstand water and should not be placed directly next to a heat source.

Using the TW220-x

The lamps have a lifespan of up to 18,000 hours. However, to keep the lamps' effectiveness as high as possible, it is recommended to change the lamps after 9,000 hours. In the beginning, the effectiveness is 100%, but this weakens slightly over time. The device automatically indicates when the lamps need to be replaced. The SRSmedilux TW220-x can be either wall-mounted or placed anywhere. Place the device in a place where it does not suffer from any barriers that may impede air circulation. The main switch is located on the side and turning it on causes the fans to rotate. Green LED lights will also come on at that time. When these LED lights start flashing red, the bulbs need to be replaced. This happens 500 hours before the lamps are empty. The LED lights turn permanently red when the lamps are completely empty.

Using the TW220

The eyes make it easy to hang the TW220 from the ceiling. But the compact device also fits on the wall. The unit's air purification capacity is 100 m² per hour. Converted to a ceiling height of 2.5 metres, this means:

• Air purification 1x per hour for an area up to 100m²
• Air purification 1x per 2 hours for a surface area of up to 200m²
• Air purification 1x per 4 hours for a surface area of up to 400m²
• Air purification 1x per 8 hours for a surface area of up to 800m²
