The Voice-Acoustic Score-8 is a passive 2-way system equipped with two 8" drivers in D'Appolito arrangement and a 1.4" compression driver coupled to a rotatable CD horn with a dispersion of either 60° x 40° or 90° x 40°. With its sleek design, the Score-8 looks great in all mobile applications and fixed installations. It sets a new standard for compact high-performance loudspeakers. It complements the Score series that also includes the Score-5.

Perfect directivity

The outstanding performance is also achieved by the horn-loaded design of the 8" transducer. The Score-8 thus achieves a sensitivity of 105dB 1W/1m in the low/mid range. In the high frequency range, a 1.4" horn driver has been used, which is very large in relation to the cabinet size. This ensures even higher efficiency and a perfect directivity characteristic in the upper frequency range. The tight vertical beam in the low-mid range is also achieved by the D'Appolito arrangement with its physical coupling of the 8" drivers. This gives the Score-8 a long range and better speech intelligibility with more direct sound in the listening area.

Horn-fronted 8" drivers

Due to the horn front of the 8" drivers, the acoustic centre between woofers and tweeter is very close together. This results in mechanical time alignment with less time shift between the tweeter and woofers, and phase optimisation in the crossover area.

Neodymium and composite

The Score-8 uses a newly developed 1.4" neodymium high-driver with an innovative composite diaphragm. The material mix of this new dome minimises unwanted resonances. This results in detailed and excellent voice and music reproduction with a very warm, natural and clear soundstage, even at the highest volumes. Combined with the fast response of the 8-inch speakers, the result is an excellent musical and impulse-focused speaker that meets the highest sound demands.

Floor monitor and front fill

For use as a floor monitor, the Score-8 has beveled angles of 55° and 25°. When lying flat, its low profile also makes it an ideal and very powerful front fill for use at the front of the stage. Sophisticated detail solutions and a wide range of accessories enable a wide range of application and installation options for the Score-8 .

Tool-free mounting

With the integrated tilting speaker flange, the tool-free Easyfly mechanism, the multifunctional L-bracket, as well as U- and C-brackets and various M10, M8 and M6 mounting points, all requirements are met. A safety for secondary safety can be attached to the corrosion-resistant entrance panel made of V2A stainless steel.

Coating and colours on request

Like the other Voice-Acoustic loudspeakers, the housing is made of sturdy birch plywood of the highest quality: CNC-milled, grooved, screwed and watertight glued. The surface is protected by a stable and moisture-resistant black polyurea coating. White speakers and special colours with 2K textured lacquer are optionally available.

Driver and crossover

The Score-8 is a passive bass-reflex loudspeaker with an impedance of 4Ω. The internal passive crossover separates only the working frequencies. Linearisation is done by DSP filters. Driving can be done with and single 800W channel from a Voice-Acoustic HDSP system amplifier or self-powered subwoofer!
