Voice-Acoustic Speaker 5-inch passive

The Score-5 is a compact and powerful multi-purpose speaker for mobile applications and installation equipped with 2x5-inch/1x1-inch drivers. The high-quality and fully phase-optimised, passive crossover with allows use with any amplifier.

The Score-5 is a complete system for applications such as speech and background music without the need for additional subwoofers. Together with one of our subwoofers, however, it transforms into a stylish and powerful PA.

Acoustic coupling

Great care was taken during development to achieve an accurate dispersion of 70° x 55°. The vertical focus of 55° is also extended downwards in the low-midrange region by the D'Appolito arrangement of the 5-inch woofers and the corresponding acoustic coupling. Compared to other loudspeakers of this size, this gives the Score-5 greater range and better speech intelligibility due to its higher direct sound ratio.

Floor monitor

Parallel sidewalls and narrow front dimensions (172mm wide) make it perfect for nearfill applications on stage edges or hidden between panels or in stairwells. Angles of 25° and 55° allow for flexible use as a floor monitor. Sound engineers will appreciate the linear frequency response and neutral phase behaviour, resulting in high gain-before-feedback and overall easier use.

Mounting

Stylish and unobtrusive, the multi-purpose bracket can be mounted horizontally or vertically in seconds with Camlock joints. These fixings are proven and tested for placing moving heads in event technology. Via a bracket + adapter, Score-5 can easily be mounted on a pole in any direction. No adjustments are required to fly. The adapter must be removed from the bracket and the speaker can be attached directly to a truss. A mandatory safety cable with carabiner can be snapped into the steel panel at the rear.

Wall mount

It also offers two M6 mounting points for swivelling and tilting wall mounting. There is another M8 thread to attach the Score-5 to a truss with the smallest possible distance using a super-clamp or bracket.
There is even a small hidden handle on the rear panel for ease of use. All these advanced details and available accessories make the Score-5 an ideal tool for almost any application.

Control

A fully passive loudspeaker with an impedance of 12Ω, the Score-5 can be driven by any amplifier, even without a DSP controller. An amplifier channel with a minimum load of 4Ω can drive 3 Score-5s and an amplifier channel of 2Ω can drive up to 6 Score-5s.For optimum reliability and operational safety, we recommend Voice-Acoustic HDSP amplifiers or free channels from other Voice-Acoustic self-powered systems. One 800W channel can power up to 3 Score-5s.
